I was blown away by the sweet cakes at nearby cafés! Don’t miss Pizza Rossi just 0.3 km away for a slice of heaven. The hotel’s charm is palpable, and I got a comfy bed that checked all the boxes for a great night's sleep.

But here’s the rub, the late-night access rules were a bit of a drag. Plus, that whole key return thing? Old school and annoying when it’s a party in the hall all night. Also, with towels provided at reception, it felt like an extra trip carrying bedding around on check-in day. Not exactly a smooth sailing experience.

The location was a blast🚇, with metro lines right next to the hotel. The bed was comfy, great for rest. But, having to share a bathroom and that late-night access policy? Not cool.

Plenty of issues to contend with. The room came with a shared bathroom on the same floor, but that meant hiking down to the ground floor for a shower. Not ideal when you're tired. Plus, if you have to leave the hotel at night, you had to return the key to the reception, making you feel like you're constantly checking in on your belongings. Overall, the experience felt quite inconvenient and poorly thought out.

The location was excellent, just steps from the metro. However, I had to carry my luggage up the stairs.

I found the charm of D'Orleans Paris Gare De L'Est delightful, especially its unique 200-year-old vibe. The bed felt comfy, ensuring a great night's sleep each evening. The location is a strong point, being mere steps from the metro, which eased my daily adventures around Paris. However, I encountered a significant inconvenience with the late-night access restrictions. The cutoff time at 1:20 a.m. for using the shower was frustrating. The steep staircase up to my room compounded the hassle during check-in and check-out due to luggage. Despite the positives, the need for improved late access policies and ease of transportation within the property must be noted. These changes could greatly enhance the overall experience for future guests.

stayed at d'orleans paris gare de l'est for four nights. loved its charm and 200-year-old vibe! the bed was comfy, and i slept great every night. the staff were super nice, and the location is convenient with easy access to metro and shops nearby.
